On May 3, 2019, the university named Kares Library in honor of Dr. Robert Kares and Mrs. Gale Kares.
Robert graduated from Athens College in 1968 and Gale is a retired librarian. As philanthropists and visionaries, their financial gifts and commitments provide valued resources to current students and faculty and will benefit library users far into the future.
